MikroTik RouterOS is a software router system that makes it easy for any VAR, ISP, or network admin to make a PC router for wireless, wide-area, or local-area networks. The product provides
remote Java administration, Telnet or serial consoles, bandwith control, a built-in firewall, and support for 10/100MB Ethernet connections. This is a less expensive and more flexible alternative
to hardware-based routers, because only a standard PC with an Ethernet card and this software is needed.
MikroTik RouterOS™ V2.9 has HotSpot Solution enabling user authentication and accounting in public or private, wired or wireless networks. Typical applications include wireless access in
airports, hotels and other public places, as well as authenticated access to network resources in universities and schools.
